This is the post I meant to post last Thursday. Shush, it’s only 9 days late!

I have come to the conclusion that Tim Minchin is a genius. I knew this before, of course, but now I have my own eye witness account to prove it.

So. After much waiting, the house lights finally went down only for us to be blinded by the stage lights. But in a good way. The opening song, Ready For This? was amazing and I’m addicted to it!

The extra echoes in Prejudice (aka Taboo) made me lol.

Got into singing I LOVE JESUS, I LOVE JESUS, I HATE FAGGOTS a bit too much... And I want to be Fraser so much it hurts.

I really liked the Good Book song (which requires a boot) ‘cos the Good Book is a book and it is good and it’s a book!

The best bit of If I Didn’t Have You was the little wiggly dance he does! xD But I was disappointed with the lack of effort to say BANANA.

Confessions was so good! I wanted to listen to it again on YouTube but I understand Tim wanting it taken off because it’s funniest when you don’t know what coming.

Canvas Bags. I think my life is a considerably more complete now I’ve seen him perform it in the flesh! (Literally)

The Interval Song is the best song ever. I’m glad I love it so much because otherwise, 20 minutes of it on constant repeat might get on my tits a bit!

Bears Don’t Dig On Dancing was so funny, especially Tim’s issues with the spotlight! Prima donna.

The Song For Phil Daoust was genius. He deserves that song, because I read the review and he’s a bastard! Half of it makes no fucking sense! Porpentine, indeed. Who even uses that word anyway? Stupid journaloust.

Storm is amazing, I love his beat poems! Plus, his image is complete when he’s got a wine glass in his hand.

Darkside was fantastic as ever. Highlights included having the fan from Canvas Bags behind him, making his hair stick up at humorous angles, and then the fan falling over. And the song was good too.

White Wine In The Sun was amazing as an encore! I could’ve cried if I wanted too. I think Jess would’ve had to carry me out in a bucket if he’d sung Drowned!

There was some stand-up in amongst all that too. I won’t explain him talking to people in the front row, because you kinda had to be there. WHICH I WAS. 8D (Cream.) (And Plum.)

I (meaning my mum) bought a programme in the interval, which came with a bag and poster, so that saved me buying them! After much deliberating, I bought the t-shirt with ‘MIT NIHCNIM EVIL 9002’ on it, and the funny internal monologue in the back. Hopefully getting the other shirt for Christmas! And I will buy the DVD as soon as I can. *mutters about stupid Madman website not taking my effing card type*

So yeah. It was FUCKING AMAZING. Bit weird seeing my head teacher there, but hey ho. And I totally would have tried to find him afterwards but didn’t get the chance. (Tim, not my headteacher.) One day, one day...


In other news: (but still related)

I’m doing the MoonWalk with Jess next year. Well, the half-moon, anyway. I’ll enter as soon as I can to make sure I get in. The original plan when we first talked about it (too late for this year’s) was to decorate my bra with a Boosh theme. Now, I’ve changed my mind and want to do a Tim Minchin-themed one. With a picture and quotes. Bonus of doing the Minch (hehe) and not the Boosh is that Timmy is a hell of a lot easier to get hold of to tell him/show him pictures. I’m a member on angry-feet already but don’t use it much *is ashamed* so I’ll post on there about it and hopefully someone lovely like Linzy will nudge him in the general direction of it. That would be awesome.
